Emotional literacy means that you have the ability at any moment to pause and ask yourself, “What am I feeling?” and have an answer. 🤔 More often than not, you might find yourself when asked ‘how are you feeling?’, answering with a thought rather than a feeling, which isn’t as productive.
When we acknowledge feelings it brings them to the surface, rather than repressing them. Repressing or denying feelings can often lead to the feelings compounding into a complete body experience, such as shaking as a result of being angry or heavy breathing from building anxiety. 🙅♀️
The purpose of a feeling is to teach us to pay attention or wake up.
So, how are you feeling and what can you learn from that feeling? 🤔
I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences with this, if any!
